I was someone who liked to cook until I became a mother. That still hasn't changed. It has just changed what I cook more often than I'd like to.
Toll House Cookies:
2 ¼ c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c (2 sticks) butter, softened
¾ c granulated sugar
¾ c packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 lrg. eggs
1 ¾ c chocolate chips (11.5 oz pkg.)
1 c chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 375. Combine dry ingredients first, then add butter, sugars, vanilla and mix until creamy. Add eggs one @ a time. Gradually beat in flour mixture then add chocolate chips & nuts. Drop on cookie sheet by table spoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Makes about 5 doz.
